During the Internet Society board meeting in Vancouver, the board of trustees have elected several functions within the board. The new chair, Ms Eva Frölich (Sweden), the first women ever, was elected for her first term. Furthermore the other seats are : President/CEO - Lynn St-Amour, Treasurer : Jason Livingood and Secretary : Scott Bradner. Those are part of the executive committee. (See also news item 6/8 ).

Rudi Vansnick, new elected member of the board of trustees has been elected during his first BoT meeting for two functions :

1. ISOC's liaison to the IETF Nomcom 2012-2013
2. chair of the Election Committee.

He is also part of the Audit Committee, chaired by Eric Burger.

"I will do my utmost to guarantee my colleague board members that I will be fully committed to the tasks given to me in the coming 12 months. I'm aware of the high level of responsible and the need of transparency and accountability that these functions require" says Rudi Vansnick. "I'm confident that my colleagues in the committee will assist me and be helpful in bringing these tasks to a very good end."
