How easy to say – how hard to achieve!
Internet is proving to be one of the most powerful amplifiers of speech every invented. Internet is becoming the repository of all we have accomplished as a society. Internet can facilitate democratic practices. BUT… it won’t be unless WE make it so.
The Internet Society supports and promotes the development of the Internet as a global technical infrastructure, a resource to enrich people’s lives, and a force for good in society.
Our work aligns with our goals for the Internet to be open, globally connected, secure, and trustworthy. We seek collaboration with all who share these goals.
The Belgian Chapter of Internet Society supports this objective within local community and connected to global Internet Society and other chapters worldwide.
To achieve our mission, our chapter wants to:
* Provide reliable information about Internet and support education on Internet.
* Represent Internet users community in Belgium.
