Twitter flags Trump tweet about George Floyd protests for 'glorifying violence'
Twitter has flagged a tweet from President Donald Trump early Friday morning, saying it violated its rules about "glorifying violence" after he tweeted that "when the looting starts, the shooting starts" in regards to the ongoing unrest in Minneapolis following the death of George Floyd.
"These THUGS are dishonoring the memory of George Floyd, and I won’t let that happen. Just spoke to Governor Tim Walz and told him that the Military is with him all the way. Any difficulty and we will assume control but, when the looting starts, the shooting starts. Thank you!" Trump tweeted shortly before 1 a.m. Friday.
