Internet in the conditions of war – Ukraine
The Internet plays a big role in our lives. What about access to Internet in the conditions of war?
Join us to meet Olena Kushnir, coming from Ukraine to Brussels for a few days. She will present a report on the Internet in the conditions of war: their degree of fighting to live, and their resilience, are huge. You’ll be surprised by this report. We all have a lot to learn from them.
Olena Kushnir (Олена Кушнір) is a woman CEO and co-founder of a national communications operator in Ukraine, member of the Ukrainian Internet Association and of the Internet Society. On top of presenting us her report on the Internet in the conditions of war, she’ll also share experience and problems Ukraine is facing, and we’ll discuss together how we can help Ukraine and the Ukrainian people. More than ever, they need our support.
The event, organized by Internet Society Belgium, is free of charge, but registration is mandatory.
Date : Thursday 5th 2024 from 6:30pm to 8pm
Location: Station Europe, European Parliament, Brussels.
To encourage inclusive and open dialogue, we’ll follow Chatham House rule. Its guiding spirit is: share the information you receive, but do not reveal the identity nor the affiliation of who said it. The only exception is the participation of Olena Kushnir and the report she will present us.
