In the past, Afroditi has been engaged as a Teaching and Research Assistant at the Virtual Reality, Internet Research and Learning Laboratory of Panteion University in Athens, specifically for courses regarding Internet Culture and Research Methods in Cyberspace and participated in publications regarding the data collected during these courses in Greek and in English.

Last year, Afroditi was also a team leader and fellow of the OSCE Academy Perspectives 2030 Program, where she coordinated the writing of a policy paper regarding Digitalisation of Education in different OSCE Member states. Finally, she led a trainee project within the European Committee of the Regions aiming to give voice to young people living in rural areas, who experience the digital gap.
