MPTCP, or Multi-Path Transfer Protocol, enables traffic balancing over multiple internet connections: xDSL, 4G/5G, etc. This technology great and with enormous potential, however it is described to much technically now. Our chapter would like to advocate for this amazing open source technology, and make it accessible for all.
Since March 2020, MPTCP is now an official IETF standard: RFC 8684.
